Marilyn has served the Village of Doaktown since December 1983 in a number of roles.  In addition to her duties as Village Clerk/Administrator, she is also our Treasurer and Assistant Development Officer.  Her past duties for nearly twenty years have included Village Development Officer, Building Official, and Secretary of the Planning Advisory Committee.  Marilyn is a member of the Association of Municipal Administrators of New Brunswick  (AMANB) and a past member of its  Board of Directors.  She is also a past Board Member of the Municipal Advisory Corporation and of the AMANB’s Education Committee. Marilyn’s husband is deceased and her daughter is an engineer living in Calgary.

Assistant Village Clerk - Sherry Nagle

Sherry, whose smiling face will probably be the first to greet you as you enter the Village Office, has held the post of Assistant Village Clerk since December 1988. She is married with one daughter, and between Sherry’s duties as Assistant Village Clerk and her husband’s long-time association with the Volunteer Fire Department, the family has an impressive record of service to the Village of Doaktown.

Art O’Donnell was hired by the Village of Doaktown in October of 2009 as its Arena Manager and Back-up Water and Waste Water Operator.  Recently retired from the Canadian Navy after 25 years of service, he is now responsible for Public Works and the Doaktown Arena.

Art is married to the former Lorrie McDonald of Blissfield and has a daughter (Pattie) and three sons (Peter, Ryan and Neil).   In addition to his duties with the Village, he is also involved in Minor Hockey, GM of the local Junior B team (the Miramichi River Maniacs), and operates a Skate Shop with Philip Munn at the Arena.

Peter Arbeau was hired by the Village of Doaktown in August 2010 as its Water/Wastewater Operator and to fulfill other miscellaneous duties (such as dog catching) "as assigned."  

He and his wife Michelle have two boys and in his off time, Peter enjoys fishing and hunting, hockey and other sports, and the "outdoors" in general.
