It is a fact that the Miramichi River has earned an international reputation for being one of the best recreational salmon fishing rivers in the world. Anglers from every corner of the earth travel to the waters of the majestic Miramichi in hopes of catching the much revered Atlantic Salmon.

Thank goodness our ancestors chose to settle in such a treasured and envied area. They must be given credit for recognizing all of the benefits of living along such a magnificent river. We are also very lucky to have many communities along the Miramichi River that are dedicated to the conservation of its most precious resource: the Atlantic salmon. There are many organizations and individuals working hand in hand to protect and promote a healthy management of our river system.

There are numerous camps, outfitters and cottages along the Miramichi River that host visitors year round. Whether they are tourists stressed out from their every day hectic schedules or avid fishermen looking for the next big catch, they are rewarded with a tranquil and rejeuvenating experience once they put their feet up and follow the flow of the Miramichi.
