2012 Salmon & Fiddlehead Festival

Friday, August 3 – Monday, August 6

One of the summer’s most anticipated events, the Salmon & Fiddlehead Festival has been held every year in one form or another since the early days of the Doaktown Fair that began in 1947.  The Festival continues to be a major attraction not only for local residents but also for “come from away-ers” and former Miramichiers forced to live elsewhere but always on the look-out for a good excuse to come home for another memorable time “on the River.”

In addition to providing entertainment, the Salmon & Fiddlehead Festival offers an opportunity for local non-profit organizations to do some serious fund-raising through the hosting of various events and activities.  As such, both participants and spectators get the chance to “give back” to their community and have a wonderful time doing it.

Our Schedule of Events for 2012 will be posted here sometime during the month of March so check back then.  In the meantime, we have included some souvenirs from last year’s events to whet your appetite.

The Salmon & Fiddlehead Festival is organized and promoted by the members of Experience Doaktown in cooperation with Doaktown Village Council.  For further information, please contact Experience Doaktown at 506-365-1105 or experiencedoaktown@bellaliant.com
